Maine Lobster Week, the State’s First Weeklong Celebration of Lobster, Will Be Held September 19-25, 2021
PORTLAND, ME — The inaugural Maine Lobster Week will be held September 19-25, 2021 with lobster shacks, diners, food trucks and restaurants across the state preparing Maine lobster in dishes ranging from classic lobster rolls to fine dining multi-course meals. The lobster-licious event is sponsored by the Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative to celebrate Maine’s most popular seafood. Maine Lobster Week concludes on September 25, National Lobster Day.
“For generations, Maine’s lobster fishery has supported thousands of Maine families and served as a major economic force for our state’s coastal communities,” said Senator Collins. “In addition to advocating for policies that support the industry, I am proud to recognize the Mainers who work every day to catch, process, ship, and serve our state’s prized crustacean. Maine Lobster Week will celebrate the dedicated individuals and businesses who make the Maine lobster fishery one of the best-managed in the world and help draw millions of visitors to our state each summer.”

As this industry continues to face challenges, including the lingering effects of President Trump’s trade wars and the threat of burdensome federal regulation, it is critical that we support Maine’s lobster industry however possible. - Union River Lobster Pot, Ellsworth
Details about the participating venues will be posted on mainelobsterweek.com beginning in July. The three course prix fixe meals will range from $45 to $65 per person; while lobster rolls, brunch and lobster breakfast dishes will be priced a la carte.
