Special Offers Abound in US for National Lobster Day and Maine Lobster Week, SeafoodSource

Luke’s Lobster, Get Maine Lobster, and several other retailers and restaurants are offering specials throughout the week in recognition of National Lobster Day on 25 September and Maine Lobster Week.

The original National Lobster Day is the one celebrated on June 15, and like many national food holidays of its ilk, it’s not entirely clear how, when, or why it was established on that date. Some mysteries live on forever. The September 25 National Lobster Day, however, has a much more definitive origin story.

The Maine Lobster Industry Debuts First-Ever “Celebrate the Maine Lobster Roll,” an Impactful Twist on This Iconic Summer Dish, Press Release

Maine Lobster Marketing Collaborative Shares the Celebrate the Maine Lobster Roll promotion, a limited-edition roll that spotlights the Maine Characters behind the industry, available online and at participating restaurants beginning July 15.

Every roll sold will help support the fishery. A portion of the proceeds from the rolls will go to the Maine Lobstermen’s Community Alliance, an organization that works to ensure the health and sustainability of the fishery for future generations.
