DISTINCTLY MAINE

Mainers have passed down their love of Maine Lobster for generations – sharing family recipes, teaching their children to harvest it and instilling the values of the lobstermen community.

And while the legacy has grown, the same deliciously sweet flavor Maine Lobster is known for has remained. Lobstermen have worked hard to preserve the resource, hand-catching every single lobster and continuing to protect Maine’s pristine waters.

Today, over 80% of lobster caught in the U.S. comes from Maine, home to countless unique seafood recipes, family-owned lobster businesses and lobstermen stories. As the Maine Marketing Lobster Collaborative, our goal is to share Maine’s greatest treasure and the stories behind it with the world.
